Every family deserves a stable place to start.

I Care Maternity Home (ICMH) walks alongside pregnant and postpartum families, parents, caregivers, and individuals throughout Sacramento's underserved communities — with a particular commitment to Black, Brown, and Indigenous families who continue to face barriers to housing, health, education, and economic stability.

We connect families to housing navigation, education, family support, employment and financial resources, transportation, and maternal and infant health services through a trusted network of community partners.

But too many people fall outside the eligibility rules. A parent working full-time who still fell behind on rent. A single adult on a fixed income. A family sleeping in their car. Often the only thing standing between stability and crisis is one small expense — a rent payment, a smog check, a car registration, a ride to a prenatal appointment.

That gap is why we exist. With your support, ICMH can provide direct, flexible assistance when existing programs are unavailable, have waitlists, or simply don't fit — helping families regain stability, keep their independence, and build toward long-term self-sufficiency.

Mission Statement

Strengthening families through housing support, trusted community resources, education, and compassionate guidance throughout Sacramento’s underserved communities.

“My doula, Ms, Toni, in particular has consistently invested so much care into me and my family. She helped me access resources I was unaware were available to me like transportation to my prenatal appointments, WIC, a free breast pump from my insurance, and rental assistance. She taught me how to safely sleep my babies on their backs and she ensured I was educated on how to properly install and buckle their car seats. When I needed baby clothing, diapers, and postpartum supplies Ms.Toni gladly provided those to me with an open heart.”
